Key Features of the LISPAT System

Examination Types

LISPAT supports histopathological, cytological, gynecological cytology, intraoperative, consultation, molecular, and autopsy examinations, including additional tests (e.g., staining). What sets LISPAT apart from the competition is the complete configurability of examination types and subtypes at the system administrator level.

Electronic Documentation

LISPAT enables the creation of electronically signed medical documentation in formats required by law. In addition, LISPAT provides mechanisms that make electronic signing faster and easier than ever before.

Dedicated Web Portal

LISPAT includes a dedicated web module allowing contractors and patients to view test results, submit referrals, and even access invoices. Barcode support improves sample identification and significantly reduces errors.

Compliance and Enhancements

LISPAT complies with all legal and industry standards, including the latest accreditation requirements of the Polish Society of Pathologists (PTP). Industry-unique optimizations allow compliance with minimal effort and cost.

External System Integration

LISPAT provides numerous built-in integration mechanisms including CEZ P1, EWP, HL7 protocol, SIMP system, TERYT statistical systems, and many commercial platforms. An unlimited license for these mechanisms enables the creation of a dense data exchange network with partners.

Hardware Integration

LISPAT offers integration with laboratory and office hardware such as macro photography devices, printers (blocks, cassettes, labels, office printers), 1D/2D barcode readers, document scanners, and DNA/mRNA sequencers.

Billing

LISPAT allows setting general and client-specific pricing for examinations. The automatic reporting function enables fast data delivery to the billing department, including additional tests performed long after the primary study. An internal invoicing module speeds up the entire billing process.

Reporting

LISPAT includes a powerful reporting engine for building customized reports. All reports can be printed or exported to Microsoft Excel and support cross-tab reporting.

Security

LISPAT meets all requirements for handling medical data, including modern encryption techniques for client-server communication, user group access control, and permission management. Administrators can define password policies and monitor or report user activity, including access logs and record changes. An advanced backup system ensures both data safety and fast recovery.

Compatibility with the Patomorfolog System

LISPAT was developed based on 13 years of experience working with pathologists and implementing the Patomorfolog system. It supports full migration of existing documentation and preserves familiar workflows.

Configurability

LISPAT is the only system on the market offering such extensive customization – both at implementation and during regular use. Nearly every element can be configured: examination forms, evaluation templates, print layouts, list views, report structures, and even examination types and subtypes.

Tools

LISPAT includes a suite of tools addressing common pathology lab needs: scanning and attaching documents, communication between doctors and technical staff, material borrowing, and computerizing sample collection stations.

Localization

LISPAT is a Polish-developed system tailored to local working practices. Users have access to continuously updated documentation directly within the application.

Database

LISPAT uses PostgreSQL – a free, open-source, scalable database system (also for commercial use), originally developed at the University of California, Berkeley. PostgreSQL ensures high performance and security without additional licensing costs.
